The other morning, I was off work and had a list of errands to run. I mapped out my tasks and in which order I would accomplish them as to maximize efficiency and minimize unnecessary drive time. I had the day all planned out.
I jumped in my truck, pushed the “start” button and NOTHING! A visit from the AAA roadside assistance representative revealed that my battery was dead. He said it had been operating at a capacity that was extremely lower than what was required. He recharged the battery. However, he made it clear that although the “recharge” was necessary, it was a temporary fix. If I didn’t get it replaced, I would be unable to start my truck again once I turned it off. So I abandoned my list of “to-do’s” and headed straight to the local repair shop. This was not how I planned to spend my day off. And I definitely was not expecting the bill I received just for a battery. But all of this was required if I didn’t want to be immobile [𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱] again.
𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: There are moments in your life when God will reveal the need for you to increase your capacity. Mentally, physically, emotionally or even spiritually recharging may require you to remove and replace that which is dead. It will be uncomfortable, inconvenient and may cost you more than you are willing to pay. But the alternative is one day cutting off and not being able to start again. Don’t fight the process. Yield to the reveal, recharge and replace. Your 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 is depending on it.
